Biography

Sam is a highly accomplished executive coach, experienced coach trainer and one of only twenty ICF Master Certified Coaches (MCC) in Australia.

Sam has more than 4000 hours of one-to-one and team coaching experience and has spent the past decade coaching leaders, teams and organisations to create authentic and sustainable success.

Sam’s client base includes senior executives and teams from government, technology, retail, education, professional sport, software, financial services, not-for-profit, information services, health, law and energy.

Working with individuals and teams, Sam quickly and effectively helps his clients to discover what success looks like for them, who they need to be to achieve that vision and what’s required to get them there. His coaching style creates the space to experiment in real time, removing blocks to move forward with confidence, support and accountability.

Sam is passionate about developing coaching cultures in organisations, believing that coaching skills are critical for managers who want to become effective leaders of people. Sam’s work in this space empowers leaders to quickly build trust, listen more deeply and have more powerful conversations.

Sam cares deeply about access to quality coaching and he mentors coaches from across the globe to further their credentials. He served as Director of Training for an international coach training school and recently completed a term on the ICF Australasia Victorian Leadership Team stewarding the Professional Development and Professional Standards portfolios.

Away from coaching, Sam is an extremely proud husband, father of one (soon to be two), surfer and nature lover who believes in living an authentic and meaningful life – and helping others to do the same.
